Distasteful?

Beginning today the Nobel prizes of 2007 will be announced, but let us not forget the Ig Nobel prizes for research "that can't or shouldn't be repeated". The winner of the peace price of 2007 is the Air Force Wright Laboratory for their brave and heroic plans for the "gay bomb":

"...chemicals that affect human behavior so that discipline and morale in enemy units is adversely effected. One distasteful but completely non-lethal example would be strong aphrodisiacs, especially if the chemical also caused homosexual behavior."

"Distasteful" but yet an attractive thought to those military boys it seems. I wonder if the effects of other weapons have been labeled "distasteful" when drawing up the plans for, let's say, the Manhattan project? Somehow I doubt it.

Yeah, it would be terrible if everybody just laid down their weapons and started loving each other. (snark = sarcasm...)

Long live the pacifists!
